A million-dollar vision for academic excellence
The West Central Area Education Foundation Vision 2025 Campaign Committee is raising $1M to establish an endowed Academic Enrichment Fund.
The $1M Academic Enrichment Fund will enhance curriculum, augment student excellence, and broaden thinking — preparing West Central Area students for successful futures. Earnings from the fund will supplement district budgets and bolster programs by offering intentional opportunities for students. These experiences will create noble leaders and provide essential and meaningful activities — bridging classroom environments to the real world.
With an endowed fund, the principal amount of the fund is preserved, while the interest generated (estimated to be between $50,000-$60,000 annually) would be allocated to various school programs and facilities improvements.
Excitement and enthusiasm for the $1M endowed fund is building with community members, business owners, and West Central Area educators and administrators. Some of the innovative ideas for using the potential funds include: the development of an outdoor learning center, enhancing STEM technologies throughout the district, and creating indoor recess areas for elementary schools, and other interactive learnings experiences for secondary students.
Committed and energized by the fundraising challenge, with these funds, the WCA Education Foundation will:
- Support academic excellence into the future.
- Connect students with extraordinary opportunities in and outside of the classroom.
- Enrich student and community lives with a space to connect, challenge, and grow their minds and bodies.
